If an electronics manufacturer didn’t want its devices powered off, there wouldn’t be on/off switches, or it would be so stated in the owner manual.
Example: MoFi StudioPhono cartridge preamp.
Even refrigerators have on/off switches.

Being old, myself, I’ve long wondered why people take audio advice from the middle aged and older.
Happy Birthday as performed at any Eric Clapton Guitar Festival
My Bonny Lies Over the Ocean (in mono)
Auld Lang Zyne by the local drunkards band, from 1742
99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall (long version) by children in a car.
Prolly don’t like wasting time on people whose first word is iPhone.
Neighbor and i listened to Budgie Squawk on vinyl the other day.
Saw them twice in 1977, and twice in 1979 at The Whisky. Still have the ticket stubs, as well as 2 unused tickets. One used ticket is No. 0001.
Cheers!
Never heard of the guy.
Franky, i don’t buy remasters unless there’s nothing else available.
I think every musician on an album being remastered should be present to give input, otherwise it’s just a money grab. I laugh at my contemporaries who buy Beatles albums over and over because the latest release includes a never-before-seen image of Ringo’s first soiled diaper.
Further, if a band blames the label for a poorly sounding album, it’s likely because the band sold out.
No idea on must-owns.
I did, however, buy the Brothers in Arms SACD to hear what people say about the format, and because i already had the universal disc player. I should say I’ve never heard the original version.
The disc has the best studio album sound of just about anything i own (records, CDs, DVDs, and blurays). The sound quality is up there with bluray, but i only have concerts on bluray (no studio albums).
My kit is an Oppo UDP-205, VPI Classic turntable with Hana SL moving coil cartridge, Mobile Fidelity StudioPhono preamp, Marantz PM5003 integrated amp, and Focal Chorus 807V speakers.
Cheers!
Prove you’re right!
I think the only Pink Floyd albums that are spacey (or psychedelic) are The Piper at the Gates of Dawn, and A Saucerful of Secrets.
I live in a micro studio apartment.
I keep my speaker stands spiked, and they sit on two layers of carpet. No subwoofer.
Only once did a downstairs neighbor complain. It was a work night at 2330ish.
Several years ago, when i bought some acoustic panels from Acoustimc, i asked if they had anything like this. They didn’t, so a turned a 48" bass trap sideways and sat it in front of the TV.
I had a two-shelf table made for my kit. It included a separate cake table for a computer monitor.
It was built by a friend’s relative in Oregon. Cost was $1,200.
Delivery was free because my friend brought it back after visiting there.
Cheers!
Had the grilles on Focal Chorus 807V’s on stands for three days. Then both speakers fell during an earthquake and one grille broke in several places.
That was 13 years ago. Grilles have since been kept in closets.
I would urge to contact the manufacturer.
