Just curious about your favorite things to play on your system. I have a decent record collection but if im home doing things i have a few extended playlists on apple music and enjoy their lossless through a simple usb DAC to a 90s Yamaha receiver with a variety of goodwill speakers and old sub but everything tuned together to work really nicely.
Personally my favorite vinyl to listen to is a 12 extended single of lovecats by the cure. John Coltrane and Antonio Carlos Jobim get alot of spin time too. Lots of samba, jazz, and random low fi house on record.
My digital libraries have lots of jazz inspired hip hop mostly 90s, house, math rock, and funk. Some artists ive been listening too more recently are FKJ, Yussef Dayes, Tom Misch, and hiatus kaiyote
What do you listen to?
Alabama Shackes - Sound&Color Beck - Mutations Sleep Token - Take me back to Eden Goeff Castellucci
And everything else I want to. My Playlist: https://open.qobuz.com/playlist/13343621
Porcupine Tree, Explosions In The Sky
My favourite thing to listen to on my system is pink noise. I like to discern every frequency of the pink noise and how my system produces it, along with how my room reacts. I find it novel how depending on how tilted my hear is I can hear more or less treble. I like to hear a vivid strip of pink noise between the speakers, with a dark noiseless background. I enjoy how my Dan D’Agostino relentless is able to add a certain amount of grit to the top without it sounding at all harsh.
Asa tone is also nice to check. Great sound.
I listen to A LOT of electronic music, as I am a dj.
Digging every day and finding new obscure niche tracks on a daily basis. I almost never listen to the same track twice, until I would put them in a set. Then I study these tracks separately.
There’s soooo much good music people don’t even realise. Imo most people just barely touch the bottom, and only a few ‘dig deeper’, and there are those who go all the way.
Curious to see how much hours I listened with Spotify alone this year… :))
I recently fell in love with Noah Kahan’s stuff and his Stick Season album is just fantastic.
Few artists I’ve had on repeat recently:
Devin Townsend
This Town Needs Guns
Polaris
Superheaven
Koan Sound.
last good time in town - eagles (legacy)
see the lights - simple minds
gold dust woman - fleetwood mac
you and your friend - dire straits
me: eyes closed, legs movin’, head noddin’…😄
Television, Yo La Tengo, A Tribe Called Quest, The Radio Dept., Waxahatchee, Big Thief, Frank Ocean, Blood Orange

A lot of badly produced black metal right now tbh.
Yeah y’all I want some playlists! I don’t care if it’s Apple Music or Spotify or whatever🤷♂️
