These were the WORST sounding headphones I’ve owned outside of the Sony XM line. No matter the EQ they sound like a veiled, muffled mess. Both they and the XM5 has a similar issue where they sound like a paper towel is put over the ear cups and I personally can’t stand it. Returned the and paid the restocking fee. Lol.

This is quite literally the reason I got rid of my Airpods Pro Max. Apple bottlenecking their headsets by only allowing their own preset EQs is a travesty and an offense to humanity. Most people don’t care. I’m well aware of that. But thinking about just how much better music can sound on the set with my own EQ frustrates me.
Not from headphone or ear bud use. I get it too and it’s because those little crystals in your ear get dislodged and float in the little liquid sack that controls your equilibrium. It… sucks…. I used to get it for maybe an hour and it would go away. The last bout lasted 3 days. I finally did the exercise of moving your head while laying down in order to get the crystal out of that sack and it worked correctly (usually it doesn’t). Has been a few months since the last bout but I’m suspecting it’ll happen again at a later date.
For Jazz, Classical or any instrumental that isn’t heavy on bass? Yes. With this headset you ABSOLUTELY need a high quality lossless source file because you can tell when the file is compressed. In terms of music, it’s quite literally like having a set of speakers on your head. The soundstage is massive. The imaging is incredible.

Depends on the headphone. I have Q5K and an Aune X1S GT BT (these names) and while the Monoprice 1570c sound the same on both, the LCD-X 2021 sounds markedly worse on the Q5X. The Q5X can drive it in terms of volume, but it sounds hollow and tinny compared to deep, warm signature the X1S provide. The same goes for the Zero Reds. Hollow and tinny on the Q5K and deep/warm on the X1S.
I’m a power lifter. I get that these are heavy, but people are blowing it out of the water. I can sit for hours and not be bothered by the weight.
