I have it hooked up to the trigger out in my AVR (which I only use because it has HDMI ARC). So it’s off anytime my TV and AVR are off.
As for my headphone DAC/AMP, both the one in my office and the one on my sim rig are off unless I’m using their respective computers.

The LCD-X are better out of the box but they’re basically the same as the 2.
The LCD 2 Classic are $800. The LCD 2 are $1k.
Well if you have the budget for them, Audeze LCD-2’s/2 Classic and some EQ can do some awesome sub-bass.

Given that I have the Walnut KLH Model 5, I keep mine one.
You know what can make them better? Setting them down for a few days or a week and listening in something else (like the AirPods, if you still have them).

Kef is great, Buchardt is great, my KLH Model 5’s are great, and Klipsch’s Heritage Line is generally really solid.
If money is no object, Wilson Audio is absolutely incredible.
But what also helps soundstage immensely is proper acoustic treatment and speaker placement.
More powerful amp? Yes. Once I bought a proper amplifier so noticed they were driven much better, especially with EQ. But I haven’t noticed much more out of them than my Schiit Heretic/Modi stack does.
Haven’t tried too many pairs of headphones but the Focal Clear MG fit me like they were made for my head.
