From what I’ve seen and heard online, the cables are the only big downside.
I tried them when they first came out, but returned because the cable was so bad. Microphonic. Otherwise, they were great. Decided to try again with this recommended cable from null. How do you like it?
Quite a lot, actually. It doesn’t have the soundstage and openness of an open back, but it is pretty wide for a closed back. Had to EQ the mids a bit to clean them up and bring them forward a bit more, but the bass and treble are solid and clean. For $149, I think they were a steal.
