Listened to Vespertine - Bjork this morning and Idler Wheeler - Fiona Apple last night!
In general I listen to a little of everything, but my favorite genres are alt/indie, midwest emo, rock.

I haven’t noticed any difference at all with some plants on or off of my speakers. I just put some thicker felt pads under the pots so they don’t scratch the speakers and won’t vibrate or rattle.
As someone who prefers a “warmer” sound and feel my Wharfedale Denton 80th speakers fit the description well, to me it means that the overall sound is smoother, softer, and has more emphasis on the mids and low end whereas the highs will be rolled off to some varying degree and less in your face or harsh. Veiled is a term I’ve seen people use and I think to some degree that’s true, but not in a way that the sound is muffled at all, just that it’s more controlled to prevent the highs from peaking and getting harsh.
I’m definitely a novice when it comes to being able to describe these things and haven’t heard many “hifi” speakers, but from the couple years I’ve been in this hobby, this is how I’ve come to define warm compared to bright.
I literally just use my tv as my streamer running optical into my receiver and using the receiver’s built in DAC and it works great. I can cast to the tv from my computer or phone so I can control it wirelessly which works great! Like others said a dedicated streamer really is only for those that don’t have another solution and don’t want a computer or screen connected to their setup and would rather have something more discreet.
If you’re fine plugging in your laptop when you want to stream then there’s really no need for the bluesound and you might as well put that money into improving something else with your setup if there is anything you feel needs the upgrade.
Quite frankly no. For having to blind buy my whole system I got really luck and all of my favorite albums actually sound amazing and better than they every have! My system isn’t perfect, stuff like metal and heavier rock fall a little flat, but it really handle most genres exceedingly well.
That is not true at all for PCs. Where did you hear that??
