Hmm nothing really. I had a really good audio journey. Though if I had to tell myself back then something, then ATH-M50X is ass. Go straight for planar headphones. 😂

DMS only spoke for the general mass. Once you know what you’re looking for in a headphone, you’ll be balancing between both, or even multiple other things since build quality, weight, price, aesthetic also come into the final decision. Unfortunately there’s no perfect headphone nor perfect headphone “for you”. You just gotta find what ticks most of the boxes, and live with the imperfections it has.
Sometimes you’re not in the mood and it really changes how you enjoy the music. Could be you heard some loud noises earlier, and your ears gone temporarily deaf. Or your taste in audio has changed, which is normal.
I’ll keep my most expensive gears for sure, though they’re the only ones I have 😂 But if I get free picks: Elysian Annihilator, and maybe a ZMF headphone.
Can’t say the same for you, but yes a new dac amp really transformed my headphone to an almost entirely new headphone. It’s a clear improvement, though I do miss the fun I get from the old Fostex amp.
IEM: Elysian Diva Dongle: Cayin RU7 Cable: Custom PentaconnEar cable for 50USD. orgasm 😂
