My goal is to convince spouse that spend $2000 for speakers is a great deal,and not to poison the meatballs for spending $2000

Yeah I’d say spend most$$ on speakers,and then lie to spouse about it. Will avoid messy discussions about non important house budget,children expenses,mortgage payments,etc

I had Polk 10 monitors in 70s ,when they initially went on sale. Wow great speakers,gave to kids ,which gave away because too large,lol

With myself ,Headphones ,loud music ,rock concerts ,and drilling ( tradesman) before anybody said ,get hearing protection for that hammer drill, long time ago. Still like to get upgraded floor speakers,wonder if I can tell difference due to hearing g loss

I would spend maybe 15K if I could afford it. Have OK audio equipment setup Yamaha etc. Would like to get some higher end type speakers for sure. Not spouse approved,lol
