I am a basic user, I only use headphones to listen to music and watch movies, I have bought wireless headphones up to 30 euros (I know they are very cheap) the problem is that all the headphones hurt me, the headband headphones are very uncomfortable for me, I have bought many wireless headphones but for some reason they all sound very bad for me, I have a sony MDR-E9LP headphones and they are fantastic for me, they sound very good, but I bought the xiaomi bus 4 lite and I have the feeling that they sound worse than the sony headphones of 5 euros, in addition, the xiaomi have a delay in the audio and it is impossible to play or watch movies, is it just my feeling or the MDR-E9LP sound better?

If you have a reason of convenience to use wireless, then continue to use them. If they cause you problems, like some comments suggest, then stop. I use the Apple pro noise canceling on the bus so I can hear the content without blasting my ears. At home I have my desktop DACs and amps and really nice wired headphones. Pick the headphone/setup to meet your need.

I like Sony stuff. I don’t know about their cheapest earbuds but there’s generally nothing wrong with their audio in the grand scheme of things.

The delay you’re taking about with your Xiaomi headphone is just bad Bluetooth. You won’t experience that with most current models from other companies.

It sounds like really what you want is a good IEM. Or potentially even true wireless earbuds. Something that isn’t a full headphone and that’s fine. There’s tons of great IEMs at any price. But, I use wireless earbuds pretty much everyday all day at work. I would say if you stick with the major brands you really can’t go wrong. If you’re in iphone the airpods are probably going to be it for you. I’m not and would say that I really like the Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro 2 and the Sony WF1000 XM5 (which I have in right now). They’re both pricey but, if you want something with good ANC 200$ is about where that starts. As I use them all day I’ve had and abused many different models from both brands. The original Galaxy Buds Pro are also pretty good and so are the Sony WF1000 XM4. But the newer stuff is just a little bit better at certain things from ANC to even overall comfort with the XM5.

My mistake was not having knowledge about headphones, I thought that spending more on wireless headphones would be better than buying wired headphones, I am not very demanding, I only ask for no delay and decent sound, so I will go for wired headphones _

For most people, a decent pair of wireless earphones/headphones from companies like Sony, bose, sennheiser, etc. in the $200-$500 price range will be the perfect mix of quality, convenience, and price. Obviously, if quality is of the utmost importance, more pricy options from even better brands, that have much better DACs and sound systems exist, so if you’re really wanting quality you can explore that route. That said, those options are for the much more extreme audiophiles. For every day use, I personally think those options are overkill. That said, I would never buy anything in the $30ish price range, you are almost guaranteed to get something that sounds and operates like trash.

Anything wireless under 50$ is not really worth it, also, get headphones from reputable audio companies, Xiaomi and such make good phones but the earphones are not that good for the price.

Believe me, if you think 5$ sound good, you haven’t tried good headphones

You can get good quality wired in ear monitors for under 30$, search “best in ears under X” of something like that, if you want full size headphones, you’ll need to spend a little more

If you absolutely need wireless, I don’t know much but I guess you can search in this subreddit

I can spend 60€, the 5€ headphones I mentioned them as an example because they are the only ones that don’t hurt me and sound good, I’ve tried headphones up to 35€ but wireless, I haven’t tried wired headphones that are more expensive, I’m looking at the recommendations of the people who have answered, I’ll investigate a little ^^

Should you stop using wireless headphones? No

Should you stop using cheap wireless headphones? Yes

If your budget isn’t that high, I’d say it’s probably better to stay with wired … But wired isn’t necessarily always better than wireless, especially if your an average consumer. I’ve got 2 “main” headphones/earbuds, one being wireless (AirPods Pro 2nd gen) and the other being wired (HD6XX). Both got their pros and cons … some people would say that the HD6XX is the clear winner from an audiophile perspective. But I’d wager that most consumers wouldn’t notice the difference. I also use both for different reasons … my AirPods are my portable commute and comfy earbuds in bed, while my HD6XX are my desktop headphones.

What I mean to say is, wireless != bad. Cheap wireless = bad.

Also, you might actually be harming your hearing with poor quality drivers. I had a ton of tinnitus with my Cheap Sennheiser HD4.50 and when I upgraded to XM5 it went away.

A lot of the cost that goes into wireless headphones is in the wireless part of them. Wired headphones around the same price are normally much, much better for listening to music or gaming, but of Course, they aren’t as much fun to pair with your phone and take with you on a walk in the park.

You could try IEMs (in-ear monitors) and see how those work for you. You can easily find decent sounding ones for $20 (US).

Another option might be some of the inexpensive Koss headphones. There are three that are quite popular: Porta Pros, KSC 75 (should be very comfortable) and KPH 30i. I think there is also a KPH40 that is similar. I own the Portal Pros, and I found them both comfortable and surprisingly good for music considering they are design from the 1980s (and look it). I added an aftermarket set of pads (Yaxi pads, like $12) after reading numerous recommendations, and they helped clean up the bass a little and made the headphones a bit more comfortable. I can wear them for hours, but YMMV.

I buy wireless headphones because I spend hundreds of dollars on them. Say all the wireless shit costs €15, and the headphones cost €30. That means that half the budget has gone to making them wireless. On the other hand, if you spend €400, you’re losing far less of the budget to making them wireless.

Even an AKG Y50 will treat you better, explore something new and don’t be scared to invest in it.
