You know, the small things that can save you a lot of money. I’ll start:
You can get “hospital” powercables that are completely shielded for 20 bucks or so.
You can get anti vibration pucks for washing machines instead of spending 10 times that on the same product which is just labeled as “speaker pucks” instead.
Buying used gear.
This last 3 headphones 2nd buyer and no ragerts!
Manufacturers hate this one simple trick…
YouTube reviewers as well. Those affiliate links pay the bills.
Also open box, b-stock, refurbished or scratch n dent.
I only shop scratch/dent and refurbished…used to work in the used and new car business.
Definitely, you get to try loads of different stuff without losing any money, you might even make some.
Yep, grabbed a McIntosh C2300 and MC275 with 20+ extra tubes, Richard gray isolated power transformers, and massive Pangea cords for $2200

Yes, owner worked on audio repair his entire life. His brother was left to clear his estate and the brother designed audio circuits his whole life.
The brother who did the repair and initially owned it upgraded caps, added further isolation and other items to make it better than spec. Original manuals and all too.
Yup, pretty much all my gear is used. Although I still like buying new things…
