Just pulled the trigger on an Arcam - SA20 amp with some Klipsch “the sevens” speakers. Still haven’t decided on turntable. Obviously spent some cash on the system so need to get something solid. Thoughts on a turntable to go with?

I’d suggest some further reading, research, and listening before additional purchases.

I’ve got an SA30 in my office currently, and an SA10 looking for a home. Both are excellent. The Class G output on the SA30 is amazing, I would imagine it’s similar on the SA20.

In addition to making good amps, Arcam has a good track record for phono stages, and I’d imagine it’s a very good MM phono stage on the SA20.

Admittedly I haven’t personally heard an MM cart on it, but I have experience with the MC stage on my SA30 and it’s excellent IMHO

I’d keep the amp and get some passive speakers. The SA20 is just so versatile, it makes a great foundation to build a very good system around.

Hey there. This will likely be removed due to breaking Rule #2. If you do re-post be sure to provide more info (similar to what the crew over at r/turntables asked you), esp to explain what lead you to buy an integrated amp and powered/active speakers. You’re making some mistakes and probably need to reset before proceeding further.

Why did you get dpeakers with an integrated amp and a separate amp? You can’t connect the sevens to an external amplifier.

My current recommendation for affordable quality turntables are the Audio Technica ATLP5x and TEAC TN3B. Both have built in phono preamps. As others have pointed out, the Klipsch 7 is a mistake. If you must have Klipsch get passive RP600Mll.
