Hi guys

No matter what version of Demons you listen to (FLAC, mp3), it sounds horrible. The drum part is clipping like hell, with zero frequencies for subwoofer, just clipping in midrange frequencies and no bass and no real drum sounds.

Even remixes of this song have much better sound quality than original, but they are horrible. In the remixes, the mixer had access to the raw singer voice, how can we access to this? I have intentions of totally remastering this song. But I cannot find the separate vocal and instruments files of this song anywhere. They have to exists because numerous remixes are made from this.

This is my favorite music of all time. That’s a shame it is mixed like this, this song totally needs a great remastered version.

The only parts that have problems are choruses. The bad clipping drums need to be replaced with real drum sounds that are played by subwoofer.

That’s my son’s favorite song of theirs and I feel ya about the bass! I think they mixed it like that for crappy systems. Every system in the home, it makes me cringe yet in my work truck, it sounds better! Lol More power to you with your task!

I have a few ways and one is already looking good. Not that I have looked at the audio yet but it could be something.

The professional recoding was already mastered like this. Very bad compressions and overblown drums and this might be the original intention of their record company, since it takes a special effort to do it this way.

What you can probably do in the meantime is find live performance recordings and strip it down, or just play those live versions since they tend to be more atmospheric.
