That’s my son’s favorite song of theirs and I feel ya about the bass! I think they mixed it like that for crappy systems. Every system in the home, it makes me cringe yet in my work truck, it sounds better! Lol More power to you with your task!

I like Music on Vinyl as well. They typically have a really nice dead background and clean sound.
Nice placement too! Somebody did their homework, huh? Lol
Best advice, go to a hifi store and listen to lots of speakers and gear and find out what you like and don’t like, also listen to music you know. It’s like buying shoes, a mattress or a car… you have to experience what you want.
You can try putting a damp rag on it to leave overnight to try and pull the crease out a little.
Word of advice, don’t block the top vents on your receiver with your turntable. It needs to breathe to live long. Try to seperate them or if space is an issue, at least spacers of some sort. Happy listening!
Wilson Sashas (maroon finish) on Acoustic Research mono tube amps… of course everything was amazing, but the bass integration was like nothing I’ve ever heard! Just beautiful sound.
Leaving it on in standby? Then yes, always on. Turning it on and off all the time wears the switch down (ask my old Velodyne about that) as well as prematurely ages your capacitors with a surge of voltage at the onset.
