I recently picked up a set of LCD-X and it took about 2 weeks for me to fully realise how much j loved them. I generally don’t even EQ them - I just adore how they sound.

Audeze make incredible headphones. Enjoy them Sir!

I have and adore these headphones. I highly recommend looking up Oratory1990s Harmon Target EQ profiles for these.

I have the Woo Audio WA7 D Fireflies Tube headphone amp with the additional WA7 TP tube power and it is a wonderful combo with the LCD-2C. I’m using Neutron Music Player to do the EQ profile and listening on my FiiO m9 Chi-Fi FLAC player. Truly delightful.

    The illustrious and praiseworthy u/oratory1990.

Heyyyy very helpful thank you! I am going to look into it, when I do go to EQ profiles it’s always Oratory1990 profiles as a starter.

I definitely am planning my next amp/dac situation, as i feel like I could be getting more from these but I’ve seen differing opinions on tune amps and planars.

I also read about tubes and planars after purchasing my Audezes. I kept going to a local hi-fi shop that carries new and used gear. I tried out numerous headphone amps and nothing wowed me. I finally gave the Woo Audio a listen and it made the LCDs shine.

Interesting, the only local audio shop near me specializes in tube amps and home audio, they stopped carrying headphones before i got a chance to demo the Audeze which is why it took so long to become mine haha.

Maybe I’ll take them down there after the holidays and shop around.

    Nice.

You should try roon since you already have qobuz.

Roon comes with good eq presets for audeze headphones.

If I mainly use one area for my music listening at home, what does Roon bring to the table? I was waiting until I had a whole house audio setup to start messing with it.

I see that you’re using Qobuz and Spotify, do you prefer one or the other, or do you like to use both?

i just started with Qobuz about a month ago and have switched to that being my primary streaming service. I will be using both though, Spotify for discovery and sharing with people and Qobuz for serious listening.

I wanted a pair of these but my girlfriend is childish and whenever I mentioned them she’d start saying “Audeze nuts”. You’re making me consider dealing with that, though.

That joke never made sense to me. It only works if the joker doesn’t know how to pronounce Audeze.

For those who don’t know, it rhymes with ‘odyssey’. A long time ago, the name was spelled Audez’e to make it clear that the ending E is a separate syllable.
