I think your next best upgrade is a tube phonostage that can handle both MC and MM carts. All that and a $500 phono is the weakest link for sure

It very similar the people who own a house but don’t take care of it. Overgrown yard. Old paint. But it’s a functional house still for the most part. They just don’t care how it looks. Probably the same people who need a place to sit a place, to put something down and a place to store things that’s it. If they are closing their eyes or reading a book while listening doesn’t really matter what they are looking at as long as music comes out. Wires everywhere doesn’t bother them. When you adapt to the status quo it’s very easy to live in mess. Personally I feel like I have lived the two different lives. 20-30 no kids maybe girlfriends anything and everything really was on the table then 30+ every piece of furniture had to be real wood and right color. Worried about clutter. Roomba runs everyday. Sink needs to constantly be clean but it’s peaceful. But people learn to be at peace with their status quo.

I like my jazz on vinyl more for sure. Sound is a bit softer which is great for horns. And I have many Jazz album/artists that I can’t find streaming on most the major streaming services or some are in one and not on another. I’ll just own it and that’s it.
