Whilst it’s true CD and streaming are capable of a much wider dynamic range, the opposite is normally true in practice. CD and streaming masters are horribly squashed whereas the vinyl masters typically have significantly more dynamics.
Most seem to miss this point. This is especially true of remasters and modern recordings.

I’ve used both and would recommend dual sealed subs over one or more ported. However, my preference is music (predominantly electronic, not that it matters) and movies is a secondary function for me. If I wanted pure un-controlled boom for movies then my preference would probably be ported.
Also, for movies, ‘port huffing’ doesn’t really matter. But, for music, on those long sub bass notes, the huffing can quickly become annoying.
