JDS will work it is just a bit clinical. Monoprice Liquid Spark pairs best with it as well as IFi Zen Air Can. Forget tube amps I’ve tested them with this pair and it isn’t good unless the volume is kept loud (they reveal too much vacuum noise). The 58’s are exceptional and a steal at that price.
Look for anything between the 1970’s-1990’s especially on audio science. Science has not changed and it can give you a good basis for knowledge that is lacking in the online community that did not even grow up with old Class A amps, reel to reels, etc. Radio Shack paid for some to be published believe it nor not. If I can find some of mine in a box somewhere I will post their titles.
They are interesting. Run a 20hz-20khz test tone sweep. If you got a pair that does not rattle, consider yourself very lucky.

Off unless I have small kids or pets present. The sound is best when removed.
Shure SRH 840A should fit your particular needs.
That is fine, but it is not a myth or it would not require a DAC which makes it into a sine wave from basically garbage 0 and ones.
Vinyl has superior frequency response to CD. Also a digital wave can never equal an analog sound wave. Plus there is something nice about taking more time enjoying cueing up a record rather than skipping tracks and what not that happens digitally. About the only better thing with digital is ease of use and lower wow and flutter.
It works. I do it. You have to change the DAC settings to allow up to its max potential. Windows default is 44.1.
You need to change the settings. You have to use a phone and the FIIO App. Turn in high gain and high impedance options and it will fix your problems. I had the same issue with the KA3.
It is probably your amp. Don’t use “surround receivers” or any of that garbage. Just a simple 2 channel / 4 channel does wonders. Such as a Yamaha R-S202.
Atom Amp + can, but one output is RCA and the other 1/8" which means you will probably need an adapter from 1/8" to rca for the other end, or use a patch cord 1/8" to 1/8" .
Back in the old days the connectors unscrewed at the ends, and that is what you have here.
