Your response to refreshing speaker placement, is exactly the opposite of the ever controversial subject of “break-in” - where the longer we listen & acclimatize to something, the more amazing it becomes.
Could be your setup has a myriad of room response effects & changing things up simply swaps one compromise for another bennie.
I risked buying a Chinese LPS on Ebay that looked very well designed & built. Paid about $130 incl shipping. To my ears, it clearly improved my DAC’s sound vs the stock wall wart ps.

I mean how many units are being sold to keep an esoteric $10k tube preamp maker afloat financially? Are they mere hobbyists with another source of income?
Some, like Geshelli for example, get a marketing boost good review or two & become “overnight hits.” But they are a known giant killer bargain.
Always intrigued at just how many brands of high end there are in the world. There was a post here today of a beautiful looking system & I had never heard of any of the speakers or components.

Xovers are not invisible. Less is more.
My mono block designer says to leave em on, so I have since owning em many many years now. The rest of my stuff gets shut off when not in use.
My sub amp has auto shut off that annoyingly #@%& shuts off if/when playing very low volume.
