Yamaha NS Monitors: After owning several NS series monitors I can describe the sound as extremely forward with intense energy. The attack and decay of the sound is so fast, sometimes it will illicit a physical response like eyes blinking. Stereo imaging and instrument separation are present, but the line is known to lack bass and cannot reproduce anything audible (to my ears) lower than 60hz.

A Raspberry Pi would be able to do this. The HifiBerry PCM hat would be a good choice of hardware.
