I’ve got news for you - the new 7000ES receiver is possibly the best home theater receiver they’ve ever made - it’s certainly the best I’ve ever heard since I got into the industry in 1994.

Not only that, the ES line of projectors is regularly regarded as the gold standard for 4k home projection (along with JVC).

I own a fair amount of older Sony ES stuff (my regular-use pre-pro is a Sony TA-E1000ESD) and while it still sounds great, the new stuff has the same bullet proof build quality and sound quality as the old stuff.

Oh, and there is no difference between digital cables.

Digital means it’s either ‘on’ or ‘off’. That’s it. Either the signal makes it, or it doesn’t.
