My goal as an audiophile personally is not to recreate the most accurate sound possible, as you’ll quicklt start to notice every mistake ever amd it will ruin every song in existence for you, my goal has always been to create a sound that is the most pleasing to my personal ears, some people call my system too round, some call it too full, i call it perfection, as to my ears, this is a system i can sit back with and enjoy my music with nomatter if it is dire straits, pink floyd, allan tayler or damn taylor swift (i dont listen to taylor swift but i’m just using it as an example) and it is a system that just makes me smile, relax and most of all it is a system that can disconnect me from all the other things around me going on in the world.

To me, an audiophile system isn’t necessarily the most accurate system out there, it is the system that pleases you personally the most and that can make you relax.

My HD600 has flown through the room twice already (Viva la using them at a mixer and the cable being behind the armrest of a chair and someone tries to take the chair away thus yanking my HD600’s off of the mixer straight onto the floor) and apart from a cable i’ve not had anything break, theyre quite sturdy, you just need to watch out for the headband.

Youll need these to seperate either the speakers from the table (My choice plus a good, thick rug under the table) or to seperate the table from the ground.

Explain to me in clear terms, why the hell do you have it set that loud?

Just because one is 850 dollars and one is 950 dollars doesnt mean the 950 dollar one is “Better” then the 850 dollar one.

That is actually not accurate at all, hence why you need one of these to accurately measure such things.

How did you measure 80db with headphones is the question i want answer to.

I would buy myself a pair of HD800S’s for that.

Also, it’s a tried and tested pair of headphones, Hype would be an insult to it.

Even my HD600’s have a “Hi-Res Audio” sticker on the box so i would be surprised if those Focal’s didn’t

Heck, my Local HiFi shop has Focal Grande Utopia’s, i’d do it for 20/80.

First, mess around a bit with what you currently have, if you then still aren’t happy i’d advice you to go look at some Focal towers, like for example the Focal Vestia 2, vestia 3 or vestia 4 depending on your budget, or perhaps the Focal Theva 2 or Theva 3.
