I was using Tidal for ages, then tried Qobuz, and even on the same tracks, Qobuz sounded so much clearer. I don’t know why, but I couldn’t go back after hearing it.

I love my lcd2-c but my old 990pros were so damn comfortable.
A Schiit Magni Modi amp dac stack (for desktop use) will pretty much see you sorted for any headphones. Don’t think spending hundreds or thousands more will get you any massive improvements in sound quality.
Went from schiit magni 3 modi 3 stack to a Topping L70/E70 stack. Not much difference to be honest apart from a smoothed out top end.
I mainly bought the amp for the remote and the DAC to match it for the looks.
Bloody expensive upgrade tbh but happy with the setup now because it’s better for me to use rather than upgrading for the sound.
I was kicking myself for paying nearly double for Tidal for so long. The only thing I miss is the Tidal Rising Artists playlist, found a lot of new music I liked through that.
