As someone who bought theirs directly from E-MU, this is a great deal. I use them as a daily driver for everything. Easily the most fun headphone I’ve ever listened to. Just be warned that the cable it comes with is…not great. It works but it feels like shit.
I think it’s kinda sad how some headphones just disappear once the next thing arrives. Hell some models don’t even last a decade before they stop production. Looking at you Fostex and Hifiman! There have been so many legendary headphones that just phased out and are super hard to find now. And more often than not the new models just don’t keep what made them special.
E-MU Teaks. I had no idea what my ideal sound preference was until I got them. I now use them for everything.
I can say as a Sundara owner that Ifi devices play nice with hifiman headphones. The Sundaras can definitely be light on the bass which is where the magic bass button comes in on the Zen Dac. I recommend.
I think FOMO is something that usually happens now with certain companies. The ones that release a headphone and stop production of it just a few years later. Looking at you Fostex 🙄
