for iem most of the time you need a dac is just to remove noise floor, in case if iphone if you want to do system wide eq you will need dacs like btr or qudelix

shopping spree I guess.The step are usually like: something hype-buy it-first listen-didn’t impress-change tip/eq-feel better-later on comback to non eq-feel sound better, cycle repeat and other are set to collect dust

wow I never saw the neko cake sleeve that have the actual cat picture on it, cool. I have my kato and it is pretty good. It is a safe choice that can please most new people to iem world. Compare to hook x I think it is meatier but soundstage is a bit smaller . My space travel is on the way. Also is it worth getting the case for space travel? I think it will fit the kato carry case so I didn’t get the space travel case.

well you can get the qudelix 5k and eq it is strong enough to power even a couple of headphone out there so it is a good investment for the next couple of year. I recommend it over btr5 because it have plastic shell -less fragile and better connect range. I have the hook x and qudelix and for my experience with those you can find some eq profile that very interesting. My favorite is the Diva profile for vocal and sa6 ultra for instrument track.

everyone have the right to dream man, I use hook x with qudelix 5k and elysian annihilator profile and cope that it is at least 10% of the real deal😂

not relevant but can i ask do you use qudelix with hd600? If yes do you unbalance or balance cable? and is qudelix strong enough to drive it?
