Everything has a sound and the Acryl-It adds a slight glow to the presentation. I found the heavier metal platter was better for dynamics but I agree with others that the Acryl-It is quieter.
I eventually went back to the original platter and added a centre weight which provides a higher and more neutral presentation.
I find I do rotate platters when I feel the need for a change.
Classic late 1980s budget audiophile system - it would still hold up well today. VMS is a cool cartridge choice. Did you need shims under the tonearm (I don’t see any).
I had to get 2 shims when I switched my Rega cartridge to the Rega 2M series on my Rega many years ago.
I have to ask what the speakers are?
They have the MA sound on steroids. I am a huge MA fan and these do sound incredible but the styling is pretty polarizing. I loved that classic 1990s styling like my 700G from 30 years ago. The Studio series was stunning visually and sonically. These are just something very different.
Great speakers but they are expensive and require a small car’s worth of electronics, source and wiring.
The American company Nordost used Raidho with high end Moon amps to show off their speakers to demonstrate the differences.
Another Danish brand which is a lot more affordable (but not cheap) is Audiovector. Excellent top end.
