So he made the right choice. Better than spending all the money on furniture no? 😆
I had this problem when I upgraded my system to a very high end system. To solve the issue I purchased 2 Sumiko S9 subs that have speakon connection to the amp. These subs are like Rel subs so they are really made for music. It added back the bass but in a good way like a sloppy home theater sub would. Now I have a wide sound stage with proper mids and highs with detail and bass that is accurate. Hope this helps.
Totally agree. Their products are overrated and overmarketed buy paid reviewers. I have heard many better Chinese maid stuff than the Schitt.
Fits the brand name. It schit.
Wilson’s sound really life like but they cost more be ause of the rule of diminishing returns. Not easy to get speakers to sound thus revealing and life like. You also better have perfect source and great quality recordings for these speakers to sound phenomenal.
High end audiophile equipment don’t have tone control because it is suppose to reproduce music ii the way the artist wants you to hear it and it is suppose to sound live or pure. So when you add tone control than that would deviate from that intention. That said if you have some hearing loss or whatever preference than you could buy a preamp with one. That said when you do want an amp with tone control you should get a high quality one as any tone control may cause signal degradation/interference thus also affecting sound quality. Yamaha has tone control because it is more an consumer product than the said audiophile equipment. Most if not all audiophile tone control is in the preamp not Amp/receiver.
