Sony ES gear is my all time fav type of audio equipment. I own both a FA50ES and a FA3ES, both work like a dream and show no signs of problems which is amazing considering they are over 25 years old! Anyone else love this particular type of gear?

ES Stereo components existed until very recently. I have a TA-A1ES integrated amplifier that I got back in 2016. I believe it was discontinued in 2021. It sounds absolutely superb and is one of my favorite pieces of gear ever. Also have the companion HAP-Z1ES media player. Also have the MDR-Z7 headphones which were introduced around the same time though not ES branded.
Their current push is portable/personal audio with the Signature Series, consisting of Hi-Res Walkman players, high end cans/IEMs, and the SA-Z1, which are insane looking active near field monitors.
Their last real push into stereo was in 2014-2016 with the components I own plus they had companion AR/ES speakers. Not sure if those are still in production.
Their ES surround receivers are excellent for the price. I owned a ZA5000ES from the last series for about 5 years and it sounded great compared to the Marantz it replaced — just not really intended for high end stereo reproduction.
