Sony ES gear is my all time fav type of audio equipment. I own both a FA50ES and a FA3ES, both work like a dream and show no signs of problems which is amazing considering they are over 25 years old! Anyone else love this particular type of gear?

It is now 33 years since I bought the following Sony ES set:
Integrated Stereo Amplifier TA-530ES
CD Player CDP-228ESD
Cassette Deck TC-K630ES
FM/AM/ Tuner Radial Power Supply ST-S530ES
In actual USD, their total cost was 3,500. The set aesthetics is beautiful. The reader of the CD player sometimes fails to read CDs, making a cyclical noise after it stops.
You would need to ajust the laser power on that CD drive. Also, if the noise seems like a thing rubbing on another, you may want to open it and realign the CD clamp.
