I just notice how some tracks are mastered to have ear-damaging highs or over-emphasised vocals to the point it almost seems like they only used one microphone for the whole band.

While i try to not give a shit, i dont like lowering or increasing the volume on my devices every time a song ends

I can’t enjoy a lot of the early Pink Floyd albums because they’re so terribly mixed.

Guys if it’s any consolation, it does eventually pass. You get what you think are your summit-fi headphones and speakers, and after a couple of years you mostly stop giving a shit.

[edit] Also love being an Adiophile

This is a sub for headphone enthusiasts not sneaker enthusiasts.

Getting into hifi ruined so many songs for me. I wonder if its the same on speakers as on headphones.

It is. It is actually worse. Is it the position of my left speaker? Is it the wrong base? Have I positioned myself correctly?

The Californication effect, I used to love all songs in that album until I noticed they sound even worse through HiFi systems.

It changes how you hear people on shows like the voice.
