So I finally got my zero red today, tried it on, its good. But the tip doesn’t go as deep as i thought, in fact it’s quite literally the same compared to my previous earbuds. Not that its bad or anything, but is it supposed to go that deep?

Some will go deep, like your previous XB55.
Some will go even deeper, like er2xr. That thing is ear dildo.

But in general iem with bigger shell like zero won’t go as deep as IEMs mentioned above and eartips become more important to achieve good seal.

You’ll know if you have a good seal or a bad seal depending on how the bass sounds

If you are wondering “where’s the bass?” then it’s likely that you don’t have a good seal

    Generally yes.

But the main difference is that earbuds do not create a seal, while IEMs do.

The last thing you want is for your IEM’s to go in deeper. The ear has two very distinct sections. Outer and inner. The inner part of our ears are only covered by a VERY thin layer of skin. Having something pushing on that all day would start to cause, probably a pretty decent amount of discomfort.

You can use different tips or extenders (purchased seperatly) if you feel they are not fitting right. Just don’t cram them in your ears. It will start to hurt.
