So, I think Its a obvious thing to say due to the subreddit I am posting, that I absolutely love music, I love headphones, I love to stay hours on end everyday using headphones, with or without music, but…

As I had my first headphones, I stumbled across all the classic problems, breaking due to misuse, fucking up the wire, left or right side stopped working and yada yada yada… …and well, I learned, I changed brands, I searched for weakspots innthe wiring, I started buying only those with the option of removable wires and etc etc etc. Even doing the “autopsy”, everytime a headphone stopped working, hell, even fixing It some times(with varyinh success)…

But I think I just ran into a wall.

Its not the wiring as Its for most people, Its not one side randomly stopping to work.

No, Its the fucking structure now.

No matter what I do, no matter How much I take care of the thing, after a bit more than 3 months, something in the fucking structure gotta break, usually In the part closer to the speakers that usually have a articulation, and Its fucking outraging, cause, I dont use the articulation at all, so much I fear breaking It, only when I need to put on the box to carry It around that I bend the thing that was made to bend… …hell, when I put in my head I do my best to make It so the most tension in the thing is when Its being worn, not while putting It(I notice some people really tension the thing, “opening It”, to put in their heads), and to make matters worse, my newer headphone, a Philco one, that seemed absolutely robust, teached the 3 months mark and broke a piece inside the articulation, that couldn’t possibly be the one taking the most of the tension…

In resume, I dont know what to do, I cant live without music but I am too young and cant possibly maintain such high spending with a single product, that I know by a fact that should survive way more than 3 months, in Average…

Pls help😭😭

You mentioned Philco which appears to be a Brazilian brand that here in the US I’ve never heard of. I suggest saving up for a more reputable brand that will last. By the time you buy your 4th set of cheap headphones you will already have spent more than if you had just saved and bought the more expensive quality brand. Beyerdynamic is known for being extremely durable, with replacement parts for every component if they ever do happen to break.

If they don’t need to be over ear you could also start looking into IEMs, a few Chinese companies all compete to be the best sounding while costing the least, so you could buy a few sets for the same price as an over ear headphone. Less moving parts to break also. Tomorrow on 11/11 they have a huge sale for singles day in China, so if you’re interested they will have good deals to look out for.
