Am I the only one that does this to their headphones? I only do this for a couple of tracks, THE PLAN by Travis Scott on the LCD 2’s with this 10+ db bass shelf makes it so fun. OTHERWISE I keep it at 5db. Am I insane for this or nah?
i dont know mann, will it affect longevity? I found that my noire even if eq with low shelf +12db @ 100hz also don’t have the satisfying impact, e.g. it is louder, but the impact just not there, i not sure why…
They are yours. You bought them. You use them however you feel like using them. If this makes you happy, do it! You honestly don’t need our validation for that. :)
(I do have about an ~11 dB bass boost on my Audeze-headphones. But this is compensation because my amp is borked and pulls waaay brighter than neutral. Even with that shelf, kind of bass light. Really need a new amp that doesn’t regularly short itself)

Nah. I’m a bass head so I pump that left side quite a bit
