I don’t think you know how R&D works if you think Sony made use of Audeze’s tech to inroduce these.
Look heavy. If controller in your hand anyway, just use wired no?
I’m kinda interested in the buds. They look cool.
I believe these were announced before they purchased audeze.
IIRC the IEMs were announced a while back, but the headset was announced like. The week that Sony bought out Audeze
If these werent so hideous (only my opinion of course) I’d be sorely tempted to ge the buds as I assume the USB receiver would work just fine with iOS.
I remember when this was in some feed and people were saying it would be a “half price Audeze Maxwell”.
But I’m not sure if it’s the home run that people assume it is though. How do we know it uses planar drivers? and even if it does will it really be a Maxwell clone?
One other thing I am concerned about is if it uses Audeze drivers seems like there are many issues with crinkling drivers, from what I read it is partly due to using planar driver with closed back design. When there is pressure applied to the pads there is not enough room for the air to escape making the planar driver very fragile and easy to damage.
I’m not interested in the Maxwell or pulse because I can’t get either, but just some things to think about I think.
Why is Sony not really doing any more wired headphones? Is there a specific reason for it?
Do Sony customers in general tend to buy more of their bluethooth stuff?Do Sony customers in general tend to buy more of their bluethooth stuff?
Yes. Personally I can’t see myself ever buying wired headphones or IEMs again.
That headphone design is going to be a nightmare for seal and comfort.
ER4XR with EQ/Foam tips will blow those Planar IEM’s out the water.
These were announced long ago though, no?
