Hey, I think I might attempt a DIY project of creating some wall panels with foam. I was wondering whether using something like painted canvas for the cover of such wall panel would be ok? Also if I were to not stretch it out fully but make some folds for aesthetic purposes would it cause some worse performance?
Our audio system is in a large room with a very high ceiling and lots of wall space, and we’ve hung some very large canvases in the area. Even tightly stretched, they have a noticeable damping effect on the highly-reflective plain plaster or drywall.
