Hello elite. Not everyone in the world had the money and time to put into their hobby Some of us just get by on sound and quality of sound. Not all of us have chord consolidation or properly placed tvs. Is that the goal? Does everything have to be completely professional to be apart of this cool club subreddit or can I be an audiophile without having any proper chord placement or a crooked tv. Is it a cardinal sin to leave chords out or have a movable tv slightly off kilter.
My question: am I not allowed to be an audiophile if I’m not able to have the perfect elite setup.

Have you scrolled through the sub? There’s all kinds of rigs here from budget to astronomical.
It’s not just about elitism or privilege but finding what sounds good to you.

JFC dude, your thin skin is showing (even more than your cables). In the thread you refer to, one person asked about cable management, and literally nobody said anything about your stereo not being nice or “elite” enough. Do you think you might be overreacting just a little?
Anyone who appreciates well reproduced music can be considered an audiophile.
This hobby leads us on a long path. Lots of us started out with cheap equipment or hand-me-downs. Over time, we learned how to optimize our listening spaces and upgrade various elements of our systems. We learned about equipment specifications, and the various technologies and media involved.
Keep doing research and experimenting. Learn what pleases you. Most of us will never wind up with a megabucks system, but that’s not really necessary to have a very satisfying musical experience. People are able to enjoy music played on relatively inexpensive used equipment that is chosen for synergy and set up well.
You may encounter some snobs (ignore them), but also others who are actually helpful.
I have a feeling that this post isn’t really about being an audiophile.
