I had this problem when I turned my heat on. It was driving me crazy because it was happening on everything, new and recently cleaned (sonic and spin). I removed the felt slipmat so the acrylic was against the record, still happened and it was LOUD. I reconnected the ground, moved wires so they weren’t touching anything and still had the pops. I have several brushes and by process of elimination found this cheap one with small bristles that stopped the static. I was ready to order a static gun but this little brush that I never used did the trick. Carbon fiber
