Hi all, thinking to move from 2.2ch to HT 5.2.4 and now trying to find a reliable store with good prices and great customer support. Visited KJ West One 3 years ago (when I was shopping around for projectors) and they (by mistake) forwarded me an internal email saying I wanted to buy a cheap projector spending max £10k. I know there’s way more expensive stuff out there but that wasn’t a great customer experience, I knew I’d never be treated well as a customer, so I haven’t purchased from them (and never will). I’ve seen a few stores having some of the brands I’m interested in (McIntosh, Lyngdorf, Focal) like Nintronics, Premium Sound, HiFi lounge…

Do you have any experiences with those or any recommendations with others? Thank you!

Contact KJ West One again. Best experience and I was only a tourist. I am sure as a buying customer you will be treated well.

I don’t know… I love the store, I used to live very close and they were always very nice, offering to test equipment I could not afford (Focal Grande Utopia) - I wasn’t a time waster but I was renting so I couldn’t buy gear. Then, when I finally bought a property, I went there with the intention to buy and had this bad experience. Don’t get me wrong, they sell systems worth well over 100k so I understand I’m not a top customer. But that seemed a bit too much… I’ll go again to see how it goes this time 😁

Purite audio. Not sure If its in London. They showcase Sigberg Manta. Couple it with a couple of Sigbergs inkognito subs and you are set 🙂

I haven’t been in store but I got a great deal on a brand new pair of speakers from Nintronics online and they are good people to deal with. Feels like they cater to enthusiasts and offer trade-ins, equipment auditions etc.
