Good evening folks,

A number of years ago I had bought a couple albums from Amazon Music (long before I knew anything about audio). Unfortunately, it seems I can only download those albums as .mp3 files limited at a bit rate of 320 kbit/s. To my understanding, Amazon offers .flac streaming for their upper-end subscriptions. If I were to upgrade my subscription, could I download those albums in higher quality, perhaps as .flac files? Is there anything I can do to get those albums in higher quality?

That’s what I’ve been doing so far, but I’m just curious about those two albums I have already purchased from Amazon Music

No. You can illegally download them from Amazon tho. But you rebuy them on qobuz for the best quality

It seems the albums purchased from the Amazon Music Store and the songs on the Amazon Music streaming platform are different. It seems there is no way to get .flac. For Amazon Music streaming songs, you can try Macsome to download FLAC tracks in high quality.
