Haven’t saw any reports online, so here it is
Guess my luck finally ran out, even though I had a few IEMs with widespread QC issues (Chu, Salnotes Zero, Final E500), this is my first “win”
Other than the faceplate issue, I like the sound (can’t justify spending this much since I own an EM6L), hopefully the Chopin lasts long
Seems like an easy enough thing to fix with some super glue, at least, though it obviously shouldn’t have happened in the first place.
Have to say it’s interesting to see the wiring and the innards of it though.
I wouldn’t use super glue because it can stain the plastic if even a little seeps out, some B7000 would be better as it doesn’t melt plastic.
I used B7000 to fix a Tanchjim Kara and it worked very well.
Protip: use Lazerbond or a similar UV-hardening glue.
Super cheap and doesn‘t harm the plastic. Can easily be cleaned. How do you UV harden a glue that is gonna sit between two completely opaque surfaces? Honest question.
You‘d put it in the seams of course, not behind the opaque surface :)
Open back IEM
Never seen that happen, does the faceplate falling off affect the sound at all in this model.
I’m not sure, because these arrived yesterday and I only tested it out for 30 minutes
Tried these again today and didn’t really feel any difference
Did you Chop it off
Puts the Chi in Chi-fi
I had the same issue with my Moondrop Variations. The faceplat of the left speaker fell off and a part of the housing got damaged without the plate.
iem gore
I mean kinda unlucky but the inside does appear to be pretty. I was satisfied until I read the title
Geeez what a qc
I’m in a bit of an altered state and saw the faceplate way before I saw the IEM itself and I thought it was some weird guitar pick
My gypsy ancestors are celrbrating. SELL ALL THE COPPER
Chopin or nova vs AirPods Pro 2 in just sound?
Ever hear of glue
QC’s head should be on the Chopin board for this.
Does that open up the sound stage?
