Ordered Sennheiser HD 650s through Walmart of all places. $306 shipped inc. tax, but combined with a Rakuten 10% back link and an offer on my Amex for $25 credit back from a walmart order, I think I did well.
Also ordered a Fiio K7, not on sale at $213 shipped inc. tax plus a 10% back Rakuten link.
Honestly, its a toss up. I haven’t auditioned either of them but from many reviews it sounds like the 650 may be a touch more of what I’m looking for, but the 6xx reviews seemed to be more scattered saying they’re 600s basically or 650s. I’m certain I’d like either tbh, but the sale price for the 650 was nice and I feel like I see the 6xx nicely priced more often, so if I don’t like the 650 I can return them and probably still be able to catch a good sale on 6xx
Thanks for confirming it is in fact the 650. New to this and as I mentioned the reviews I had read were not all in agreement regarding which it was. 30 day return policy so not a big deal to send it back when it arrives

Fiio k7 is a good pickup. My favorite dac amp out of the similar bracket, i.e topping dx3, smslc200 etc
Just curious, why’d you pick the 650 over a 6xx?
I just placed an order in for the 6xx at ~$179 yesterday.

The 6XX is the 650 with a different color. Up to you if paying +$150 for that glossy cobalt color is worth it.
