I don’t play it much these days but it’s a very cool piece I’m glad I picked up when I did.

    Thank you for replying I have restored many sa 500s and a couple of sa 600s. I never saw these diodes perhaps they are only in the upper wattage models but I will be careful yes I have seen those diodes in other older vintage amps though. Yeah that’s tough luck. Perhaps there is some sort of a workaround for this replacement diode

      They are attached to the heat sinks (2 on the SA800. There are makeshift homemade options but even the best do not replicate the diode response of the original. Occasionally there is someone who pops up with “hey I have some” but in my case, the SA800 was sold “as is” to a parts house.
