My headphone collection is growing a bit. Eyeing the Hifiman Edition XS.

I will probably need something for bass-heavy music, still not sure what to get. For now I’m using the Porta Pro for that purpose. Lol. Any recommendations?

I’m testing my XS right now and the best things I’ve ever heard in general and on the XS specifically are well done electronica, synth, and Polyphia just WRAPS the textures around my head! I need to find other artists that record or resemble Polyphias texturing. The worst things so far have been all my friends metal recommendations that just sound like they’re coming from a single speaker across the room, flat lol. I have yet to hear anything better than psy trance and synth genres on the XS, it’s so creepy good how different layers crawl and wrap around my skull and being able to hear more texture of the sounds is more immersive and satisfying not distracting, unless of course it was badly made.

I can’t say about hip hop but I do love trip-hop I’ll do that next
