No black Friday or any other deals? Will it always be 529$?

If you’re ever interested in going used, Reverb has a few demo units that go for around 380-400. I’m contemplating as well

I would wait for their b-stock to be out and get them for ~$400. I got mine that way about a month ago and they came in perfect condition.

They go on sale every couple months. But it rarely seems to be for events like holidays.

I bought a pair for $400 on Amazon a few years back. I sold them though. They aren’t worth that in my opinion. If I bought them for like $120 I would have kept them, but the sound was just meh for that price.

Mmm, maybe your amp wasn’t good enough or you just found better headphones?

      What did you get instead?

I doubt it was their amp, it was likely their sound preference because they ended up getting the LCD-2C instead.

I own both the DT1990 and LCD-2C, and I consider them equals. They are my bright/dark combo so to speak. Overall my Hifiman Edition XS has better all rounder potential compared to both, but I still end up listening to those two more often.

The DT1990 is an amazing pair if you enjoy that type of sound signature and good imaging. I bought them full price and I don’t regret it at all.

I did not like it. Many people have similar opinion, it seems to me. So a price drop is to be expected, in my opinion. Though this was the story with the 660S too and it took many years to happen.

I’m debating what to go now, some people didn’t like 1990s in this thread. I thought they were like the endgame headphones
