Don’t listen to Bose 901 haters. Most of them are either talking out of their ass and have never heard them or heard them without the EQ. Set up correctly they can be jaw dropping.

You’re 100% right. For their time, they were/are amazing. They needed plenty of power because of the eq, but they are special. I was shocked at how well they’d hit those low ~20hz notes.

I sold my 901’s years ago, but I sometime regret it.

This pic over on /r/hometheater made me realize that Auralex or GIK cold make a killing selling TV-covering diffuser panels. Something relatively light weight that could be hung over the TV screen to manage reflections(sound).

I’ve been hanging a wool blanket over my TV screen for critical listening, and I imagine plenty of the folks on this sub do the same.

My 7.5IPS commercial releases are the best sounding physical media that I own. Zeppelin III is probably the crown of my collection.

Can’t say I’ve ever seen cm/s (38 and 19) machine.

I recently decided that I don’t like DSP, so that amp has been lurking in my mind non-stop. Almost definitely my next move.
