I haven’t had that experience here in ATL. It’s actually been very supportive and educational. Even today, I went to Best Buy in Alpharetta and was blown away by the remodeling of the store and the new rooms they had for A/B testing as well as the customer service from the employee handling the section.

Still get CDs, Vinyl, and Blu-Ray, but pretty selective about it. Typically for music, it’s re-issues or if I really dig an album from Apple Music and think I want a higher quality version, I’ll get the CD (albeit that’s increasingly getting harder to do, a la “New Blue Sun” by Andre 3000 is streaming and vinyl only).

For movies, it’s pretty much movies that I think are essential to own personally. Like 2 weeks ago, bought “Trading Places”, “Tropic Thunder”, and “Across the Universe”.

When I first tried noise cancelling headphones, they were the Bose ones around 2010 or so. I put them on, started to do some work at a Starbucks and then I slowly started feeling motion sickness. I thought maybe I was coming down with something. But I felt fine the next day until I used them again and once again, I got the sensation of motion sickness. So I returned them and avoided any noise cancelling headphones for a long time. Then on a trip to Vegas, I forgot my headphones, so I bought a pair of Sony WH1000XM3 at the airport and that experience was great, so maybe it was just how Bose handled the noise cancelling.
