I got them on a bargain sale for 3000 DKK (300£). They are good, but requires EQ to be enjoyable in my opinion.
My other references are Sennheiser HD650, Beyerdynamic MMX 300 gen2, Shure srh1540, ibasso it01.
The era-1 has the best sub bass but has a dip in the presence region and a bit too much treble that needs to be EQed out. My other headphones are fine without EQ.
