Pretty sure that first pic is an autoformer, a magical piece of equipment that lets you distribute the sound to multiple speakers without having the impedance drop.

I spent years listening to speaker manufacturers of all kinds to find the one that sounds beast with metal, and the winner was Canton. There’s just something about the tone that they just nail. Turns out they’re very good for EDM also.

Not cheap but built in Germany and top quality, will last a lifetime.

My Russian engineer buddy swore by cat5 for speaker cable. I think its 24 guage.
