The DT770 pros are a really good pair of headphones for producing music and for tracking a recording while performing but pretty terrible for mixing and mastering due to their big bass boost and very powerful treble.
The DT990s are also pretty good for production but obviously terrible for tracking because of the bleed as they are open back headphones.
The treble is pretty horrible, however, over time the pads compress and the treble measures much lower as the driver is closer to your ear.
Once they have been worn in really well they’re pretty good for mixing, esp if you’re used to them.
