1 year agoIf anyone would like to know a thing or two, or three about cabling, read the “absolute sound” article, “A Short History of High-end Cables,” penned thoroughly and comprehensively by Dick Olsher, August 2nd 2019. Most all of the industry’s significant players are there, all the theories are there. (Of course this history ends in 2019, so, “absolutely everything,” isn’t there) Quite illuminating for me, and I know quite a bit about the subject relative to most laymen. I’ve quite happily stayed with Ray Kimber’s efforts, his, “silver suite,” of speaker cables and interconnects. They acquit themselves quite well with my Sound Lab 845 PX’s. I highly recommend reading this excellent article.
After doing an architectural tour of older colleges and universities, I found that many had Klipsch horns installed in certain common areas in the 60’s and 70’s which still remain. I imagine this is that kind of example.
