Picked up a new helmet for skiing that had pockets for audio pucks but I really didn’t want another thing to charge, especially somthing built into a bulky helmet, and I wasn’t seeing many good options for wired pucks so decided to do this instead with a pair of KPH40 Utility. Utility termination is the perfect length to tuck under the chinstrap hold down and no having to deal with a messy long wire when putting the helmet on or taking it off. Remote and mic ends up right under the chinstrap and I can just leave the main cable tucked away in my jacket.
Sound is maybe not quite as good as stock KPH40 with the fit being on the looser side but they still sound great and I don’t notice them at all when wearing the helmet. Plenty loud and the inline remote is big enough to use with gloves.
Felt does a good job of taming highs, particularly wool felt
